This blog edition is slightly different as Houston is a very diverse community, and there is a fair share of Asians that celebrate Lunar New Year. We thought it would be great to acknowledge that by wishing those that celebrate Lunar New Year a very Happy and Prosperous New Year.
We would like to share a bit about the event, and being that we are in Texas – it would be nice to explore to some of the most populated cities in Asia and see the cost of a 2,000 sq feet home.
When is Lunar New Year?
The Lunar New Year begins with the first new moon of the lunar calendar and ends on the first full moon of the lunar calendar, 15 days later.
The lunar calendar is based on the cycles of the moon, so the dates of the holiday vary slightly from year to year, beginning some time between January 21 and February 20 according to Western calendar.
In 2021, Lunar New Year will fall on Feb 12, 2021
In 2022, Lunar New Year will fall on Feb 1, 2022
